Yes, Donny...these are awesome...the sounds and the playing are first rate.

The sax is excellent...whoever is doing the playing sure has the emulation down pretty darn good.

Spalding,

It would seem, from in the video demo Donny posted, that he could be playing over a midi file.

So, it will depend on if you view that method as "live", as opposed to playing over a style, for instance.

On that video, Robert is playng a style, not a sequence, you can see him when he's changing the chords with his left hand.

Not one tiny bit, Donny...nothing wrong with using a midi file.

Whew!!! that's a relief, Robert is an excellent demonstrator showing off the great live sound of Ketron products.
I would of thought Diki would have jumped on the 76 key Audya in a minute, it's clearly the best "LIVE BAND" sounding arranger KB on the market...miles ahead of the older technology Roland G70...but hey...too each his own.

You are right Dnj! Robert is a great demonstrator and a great musician/programmer for Ketron.
He will soon put out a bunch of new styles for the Audya series!

Yes, those style demos are great, again, this is all Robert's ! those 40 styles he demonstrates on those videos are actually internal styles that he created himself

I'm kind of leaning towards going with an Audya (Audya10, maybe!) in maybe another five years or so..!

By that time, perhaps some of my basic problems with it will have been fixed, and the technology advance enough to allow for multiple streaming audio channels without having to make the compromises they did with this one.

But I guarantee that I'll be buying the FIRST Audya (or any other arranger, even, gulp! Yamaha ) that offers a TRUE Roland style Chord Sequencer..!

But I'm in no rush to change (unlike so many here). Still making great music with my relic, still nothing on the market with the sound and OS that convincingly beat my G70, still more interested in MAKING money than spending it (especially when spending it won't get me any more gigs than I already have!)....

I can wait...

BTW, I thought the demo just goes to show, an average sound in the hands of someone that knows how to phrase and play like a sax player trumps the best samples and technology in the hands of someone playing like a keyboard player! SA technology does a great job of assisting those that CAN'T control their technique all that well, but if you CAN, Korg, Ketron, Roland, ALL of them can be made to sound convincing. Maybe not QUITE as convincing as a Tyros or S910, but, at least for me, well enough that you don't feel tempted to give up the 76 JUST for that sound!

There's a link to one of them on the SZ Ketron page. There are quite a few. When I get a little time and get the Audya home I will post some.
The other project is in the works. Have to pick up the original box before shipping.
