I really have to get off my ass and learn how to use a PC program to sequence. My old kybd isn't a good option anymore.

Most of them look ridiculously complicated, and I don't care about the audio side at all.

I just want one I can whip up a midi file on and figure out in 5 minutes how to adjust tempo, control changes, individual volumes of notes and drums, etc.

Can someone recommend a program for me?

Tune1000 makes a software program that is ideal for what you want to do..It is Soft Concert..You can change tempo, keys, instruments ,levels and effects easily ..then resave the file..

Then you should definitely have a look at the "SD1 Mastering Studio". It is not a sequencer, but a midifile editor supporting all options of the SD1:

I've owned the SD1 for over a year and never heard of this. It seem like a 'must have' for anyone playing MIDI files on the SD1. Anyone else have knowledge of a recommendation on this?
