Maybe it's just me and I have the sense of humour of a kid, but the name “ASS” makes me giggle big time.

What a stupid freaking name for a potentially very cool product.

James

ASS = Advanced Sampling Station

The coolest thing about these machines is the preconfigured complex midi routing, as well as the overall system stability. As far as the hardware is concerned, it is top of the line ( Asus MB's, Intel quad core CPU's, Noctua Quiet fans etc.). In addition to that, the systems are also available with SSD hard-drives for live use.

Lots of possibilities with these machines that are made for LIVE use.

I dont think anything beats this, even though i am a fan of MS and i am getting one i am still
sceptic that the MS is more capable of this, this is more promising...
As for the name James...lol...

lol....explaining it doesn't help.

I don't think I get even the slightest idea of what this piece of “ASS” can do from that video.

Personally, I think they made a complete ASS out of it by playing midi files that totally sucked ASS.

I mean, if they wanted to really show their ASS off, they could have used better material as this rather sucked ASS.

I mean, just ASS your self, what's so good about the fact that it's a PC with a Touch Screen. I mean, I'm not trying to be an ASS here and knock this piece of ASS, and I don't wish to make an ASS of myself talking about a product that no details have been given on yet, but this ASS is only a PC and no other version of Windows exists legally. So this ASS is not running some unique version of Windows.

Regards
James.

lol... Sorry but they seriously need to change the name. It's bloody stupid.

Well..just a youtube video that scroll some PC screen shots, some PC cases, with backtracking some Mp3.. do not prove nothing that this system work...
On this video, on 4:30 start to shown one APPLE/MAC sreen shoot..what have to do with the windows system?

After reading the end story from Wersi..OpenLabs..I really believe now that under Windows is not possible produce musical instrumets for Live stage.

James also posted this interesting link: http://spidouz.wordpress.com/2010/07/31/why-i-quit-open-labs/
Just another probe to never buy a windows system..

Please Nedim, do not compare the LiveStyler features with the all MS OS features.
Need another 5-10 years untill someone arrival with our same features.
If i'm wrong, just le me see some TRUE working ( videos not screen shoots) that can compete with the MS features.

Hi Lionstracs
1. Wersi instruments have been and still are used live from small gigs to large Concert Halls, so the idea that Windows cannot be used live is a COMPLETE and TOTAL NONSENSE.
2. Virtually all the 3rd party instruments loaded into the Mediastaion have to run through WINE (A Windows emulator) to work. (If Windows didn’t work for Music, I can assure you that manufactures wouldn’t write programs for it, plus virtually every VST launched or updated in the last 5 years has been designed for live play on a Windows PC)
3. Promote the advantages of what you have, (Which is an excellent and versatile keyboard) and stop slagging other instruments and OS off. (It’s not needed, as the Mediastation/Groove can stand on its own 2 feet, and you will only alienate prospective customers, if you continue to constantly deride others)
Regards

Bill

Abacus you are wrong about wine,

it is not A Windows emulator

The name Wine is a acronym for Wine Is Not an Emulator read here:

Ok, lets drop this, this is not about proving or not, its not about existing or not, its something
i know for a while, probably longer then MediaStation...few of you here know too, it is not
a new subject, this was brought to attention a while ago.
