With Tyros 4 possibly on the way, I thought I would post prices of the current TOTL Arrangers for comparison purposes, so as to get an idea of the price category that it will have to enter. (Assuming Tyros 4 is fact not fiction)

Prices Ascending:

Wersi Pegasus Wing €2590

Korg PA2x €2985

Yamaha Tyros 3 €3499

Ketron Audya 5 €3749

Lionstracs Groove X6 €3680

Ketron Audya €3990

Lionstracs Groove X7 €4270

Bohm Silverbird 7 €5143 (Last known price, so may not be accurate)

It’s interesting how the Wersi was once one of the most expensive when made in Germany, (Using the estimated price of the prototype) but is now the cheapest now that it is made in the Far East.

WERSI CITYSOUND Loud Speaker System.
The WERSI CITYSOUND is the perfect accompaniment for the WERSI
Pegasus Wing keyboard. The speaker system is designed to produced the most crystal clear clarity of sound. Two ‘egg’ satellite speakers provide the mid and treble while a powerful Subwoofer provides the depth with the bass. WERSI produced an external sound system to deliver the best sound quality for the Pegasus Wing. Because of the positioning of speakers within keyboard cabinets, the sound quality is often compromised or does not reach the player from the correct angle due to cabinet constraints. WERSI CITYSOUND corrects this and delivers the sound direct to your ears from the correct listening position.
The system is a powered 300 watt active sound system. The speaker system is available in White or Black to fit into any home, studio or room.
You’ll love the power and sonic experience that the WERSI CITYSOUND provides. WERSI believes the Pegasus Wing deserves the best sound system, and we believe you do too.r anyone Interested,

Gilbert.

Dnj,
Inclined to agree with you regards the video's, however a lot depends on what sound system is used and of course the skills and knowledge
of the player or demonstrator.
As far as I can make out the Chap in the Video is a 50 year old home player.

Gilbert.

Probably

They were recorded on an early prototype via camcorder mike almost 12 months ago, and so are unlikely to be representative of the finished product, particularly with all the development that has gone on since then.

However the Wing is not what this thread is about, and so has little relevance in this context

Bill

that's interesting. Just before and after we got back from NAMM, there was a lot of BAD STUFF on the net from major music equipment manufacturers. We're talking demos shot on a home quality camera, without a tripod, using an on-camera mic...from Yamaha and the like.

You'd think some of these guys would take a little more time and make an effort to make the product sound stellar.

Likewise, very well-equipped video production houses will often have $50.00 mics and as Radio Shack quality mixer, paying little attention to the quality of the audio in their production.

Just seems stupid!

Bill,
you having mentioned the Wings is now the cheapest arranger from a list of leading manufacturers.
This instrument is not yet on released, therefore I feel it quite legitimate to publish the specification so members could match these against other brands in an attempt to establish a true comparison of both value and specification, also for the general interest of members who may not be familiar with Wesi new arranger .It was in no way an attempt to hijack the thread.

Regards Gilbert.

Hi Gilbert
The comment was not addressed at anybody specific, however over the years I have found users tend to latch onto certain postings in a thread, rather then what the thread was about, so I always try and clip it in the bud. (Doesn’t always work, but it beats having to start a new Thread)
Regards

Bill

Looking at that price list...makes the PA2XPRO a bargain for TOTL arranger.

I won't be paying more for a arranger than I did for the PA2XPO...so, guess I'll have it awhile...

INHO..More people need to just say no to these prices...it's like ticket prics for PRO sports...as long as folks pay that kind of crazy money...they will keep asking that much.
