A friend of mine who is a lurker here is looking to use Garage Band to do some recording of guitar tracks, then using his Tyros2 with Garage Band to combine all tracks. His question is, is it possible to use Garage Band to accomplish this or does he need a more sophisticated package?

Thank you Fran, but he has a Mac.

Let me also re-phrase the questioning :

Steve what i'd like to know what the steps are to connect the tyros or psr to garageband.

This really sounds like he just want to overdub guitar tracks over the Tyros output. So all he would need to do is record a stereo track of the Tyros audio output then record how ever many guitar tracks he wants to add over that master stereo track then simply mix them all together when he is done.

Hi Stephen:

I also recommend to your friend to get this FREE download, it also converts/import wav to MP3...

And of course I am assuming that the Mac has a stereo audio input that he can connect to the stereo output from the T3 to record the sound of the T3.
