AJ, anyone,

can you tell me the EXACT dimensions?
just grab a tape measure if you have to.

i'm really considering buying and want to start researching the best case.

AJ, have you corrected (or told Italy) the dimensions of XD3 on Ketron site?
it's only off by about 6 inches or so

Leezone,

Do you want it in feet and inches or metric, in metric it will be more expensive!
After all this, you buying a Ketron, whatever next, Dom not turned your head.

BTW Leezone, what do you want to know the size for when you don't know the price. Anyway Audya is now sold by the foot, like timber (Lumber) the longer it is the more it costs and sod how it sounds.

Tony, have you considered changing the dosage on whatever medication you are on?

I mean, I'm no doctor (I don't even play one on TV!), but it's fairly obvious that something is out of whack..!

Double it, or halve it, but try SOMETHING...

Leezone,

look for www.rockshop.de and search for Audya4. There are dimensions in cm (2nd last line), guess they are right.

Joe

But Ketron site does not?

55cm x 33cmx 13cm
20.9" x 13" x 5.1"

that CANNOT be correct as this would make it even smaller than the XD3

who the heck is measuring these things?
can we get some ACCURATE info?

Leezone didn't take 4 years of calculus, he had to take the same class 4 times to pass it.

It might sounds ridicoulous but i have to say it:
If it wasnt for this forum and few members like Lee, Tony, Diki and few other i would
have very boring days sitting in my studio nor enough reasons to laugh...

Leezone,

is it so difficulty to copy simple text from one homepage to this forum. The dimensions are:

53cm x 33cm x 13cm

...the same dimensions as written in the official Audya4 brochure. I have one of it, as I was today in Frankfurt. Yes, it is smaller than the XD3.

BTW, more functionality does not automatically mean bigger size!

I guess you still will not belive it, so you should wait until you can take the dimensions by yourself with a measuring tape.

Leezone,

XD3 is only a little bit smaller than the Audya4.
XD3 has about 55cm x 35cm x 12 cm, i.e. from the height the Audya4 is even a little bit higher. BTW the Audya4 looks better in real than on photos. I like it.

Yes, they showed and played also the Audya4.
I saw at least 4 of them on the booth.

Additionally I got following information:

Audya4 and Audya5 are based on the same HW as the Audya. The only difference is (appart from the keys)

a.) The 16 tabs on Audya4 and Audya5
b.) Audya has a Digital SPdif In / Out,
Audya4 and Audya5 not.

They told me with OS4 Audya4, Audya5 and Audya will have the same functionality (appart from the above mentioned differences)

They told me also that memory exppansion is also possible for the Audya - depending on the production date. But I guess it is also possible to upgrade early Audyas with a new sound board.

Availability of Audy4 and Audya5: June this year - stated in one of the videos on the Ketron homepage.

Leave it out 53cm is the same lenght has a PC keyboard, it's for a one handed player, sorry, someone who plays with one hand! In those terms it should be half price. You all said you want something thats easy to just throw in the car, here it is, you play right hand only the KB works out the chords for the lefthand, WOW.

Leezone - Were those years spent doing calculus the FIRST four years of your life?

It's obvious from other threads that you can't even count to two (2-1=1 is a valid equation!), so these huge numbers you are dealing with are difficult to grasp once you run out of fingers and toes, aren't they?

Just keep it simple... bigger than a bread box? Smaller than your head?

You might get less easily confused..!

Leezone,

Quit whilst you are ahead, in the UK we say, if you are in a hole stop digging, just go and buy the bloody Audya, I'll send you some money.

Diki,

I thought you wanted it to all go away, the more stupid, perverse and convoluted it gets the more you love it. That why your hit rate is so high, has anyone hit 8000 or even near it. I’m going for a look. I’ll be back with my report shortly.

Hi Honey I'm Home!

Just as I thought Diki, You are de man, Mr.SZ.,you get a cookie, top off the class, 8000 and still climbing exponentially , this can't be beat. Lee and I can't hold a candle to you Diki, you will cause SZ to run out of hard drive! I've worked it out that since SZ started you can't have had more than 2 hours sleep, you poor thing. This explains the Grumpiness.
You could perhaps explain to Leezone all about maths and common denominators

See? What is it about the whole math thing that supposedly 'smart' people (at least in their own estimate) simply just don't get..?

My post count dates from 2005. Yours, other than ONE post, all started less than a year ago (not to mention that my posts aren't ALL about one single topic). Do the math. Get your mommy to help you with the big numbers...

You know, you really should take your own advice about quitting while you are ahead...

Stand for the Audya 4 Module?

I notice in the demo's (German guy) the Module is connected to a stand, looks really neat and available for programming and so on, is this going to be an optional extra, or is it included, and if it isn't either of both, then where can one get one when I get the Audya 4. By the way still waiting to hear on the official release date of OS4 and price Aus dollars, and will want to hear from the current Audya users as to how it is going re OS 4 bugs if any. Loved what I saw in the preentations Messe, and I think Audya may have come to age
