Battery power, again. 2X15W (just in case the 2X15w in your arranger isn't loud enough, I guess! ). I guess 15 watts is the new 100 watts...

Maybe they made it so some people that bought a GW-8 and then realized they'd rather have a Prelude can fix the situation!

But I am starting to get a bit alarmed. Most of us have computer speaker systems hooked up to out desktops with more power than this! Would any of us trade in a 300w computer speaker system for a 2X15w system?

If it sounds like the BA330...

I remember when I first heard the Street Cubes..they were 2.5 watts a side....and loud...maybe as loud as the 30 watt CM-30..

I remember comparing to the Mackie 150..the Mackie was louder..but not by much with usable volume..

The BA330 has made a believer in me...numbers can be deceiving...

Best little and inexpensive (well under $200) speaker system I've used is the Logitech Z-2300,,,perfect for keyboards...just the right amount of bass without being blatty or tubby, and quite loud as well. I use one on my PC and also on my PSR-S910 and T3.

The Roland KC-110 might work okay for busking, but the one Fran got, the 330, would be the better choice.

Ian, you are truly right about the Logitech. I have two Z2200s, one on the computer, and one in a bag for small jobs.
I also have a Z5500, but it's doing surround sound in the living room.
Unbelievable value for the dollar.
BTW, I loaned two Podium 802s and a small Behringer mixer to an acquaintance about a month ago, and now there is not a trace of the guy OR the gear.

I'm using a Roland Cube 100 Bass amp. Very happy with it. It's small, compact, a manageable weight and I go nowhere near its capacity. I don't see myself going with anything else.

Little to hijack on a simple product announcement. They invariably beg comparison, and that's all you are doing here. As if I have any right to complain about thread hijacking, anyway...

What impressed me about the Logiech Z-2300 was the quality...both in how they are mnade, and the sound.

I was hesitant buying them, but once I heard the quality of the sound, and the nice oomph they had, I was sold.

A buddy of mine has the Z-5500, and they are awesome...he uses them (at home) on a Tyros3, along with a Yamaha Stagepas 500...definitely an astonishing sound, but overkill for my simple needs.

I think the Z-2300 would work very well at a nursing home gig, if you had stands for the satellite speakers.

That's too bad about the Podiums and the mixer...I've never seen Podiums, let alone played through them...Fran thinks they are super.

I use my Logitech 2300's at my mom's nursing home every month. They are plenty loud and work well in that situation. I carry the whole PA in a duffle bag. That was a trick I learned from Gary Diamond. I admit mid range is a little lacking but some Eq will compensate enough for that.
