I'm connecting a D50 to a SB Live card via a midi adapter cable. I'm running Cakewalk Music Creator 2002. I connect the midi cable according to the instructions. But I can't record any midi events! How do I have to set up the D50 itself to send and receive midi? Help. and Thanks.

You will need to make sure the channel you are trying to record MIDI data to is set up to recieve external MIDI. cakewalk will have a options or settings page where you can chose to have all the data sending and recieving to and from external MIDI.

If you still have no joy, check that your MIDI IN cable is connected to the MIDI OUT of your keyboard and vice versa.

Now check to see whether on your D50 you have the local transmit and receive switch (Tx Rx) set to off, and the MIDI channel of the appropriate patch corresponding with the same Channel onthe track you are trying to record onto on cakewalk......hope this helps!
