Today is the last day of the 10th year I have been a member of the synthZone. this is post 3441 for me so I have become a lot quieter in recent years.
It has been a good ride and I have enjoyed all of you folks during these years. I have also learned a lot from just about all of you too
Thanks for sharing.
thanks to Nigel.
have a great year this year,
Best to all,
Bebop

From one old-timer to another: Way To Go Bill!
My date is 6-25-99 and something like 7400 posts, mostly useless.

Congratulations Bill. Glad some of us old farts are still around. As Diki said "Give us another 10."

Congrats, BeBop ... was that when the old 'technote' forum closed down? ...
Not that it matters, I noticed my profile says 1/16/02, but I know I came to S-Z right when the technote forum started closing down ...

Yeah, quite a lot, if not all Technics users found the way to SZ at that time.
You're right, not that it matters, my reg in profile is 04-01-2001, but my first registration at SZ was a bit earlier
than that.
My technics dedicated website was first up and run in 1998, and it was at that time I started to join fora and add info
such as links etc.
PC crash was not uncommon happenings back then, and somehow I lost all info and had to make a new registration as well
as I did choose to sign up by use of my name instead of a nickname.

Anyway, congrats Bebop, we had some "catfights" during the road that probably added a lot to the numbers of posts, and
who knows, it might as well add some more in the future ....

Cheers

I know there have been some disagreements from time to time people getting hot under the collar about things, but all in all this is a thoroughly good site, there is a lot to learn from people with years of KB experience and I hope that K****n do get all their problems sorted. Nice to be connected with a very pleasant set of well rounded people in particular our allies across the pond, and Europe.

Happy New Year to you all, long live SZ.

HI Tony,
I operated the technics forum continuation by email after the UK forum was shutting down, until Nigel gave me the unused Technics Forum here in the synth zone. I moved the folks from email to the synthzone at that time, just now 10 years ago.
Thanks to all for your response.
it has been a good ride.
I don't know if there are another 10 years left in this old bod now though. I find it easier to read the forum posts and listen to the stereo that to play or record my keyboards. I still write and record a new one once in awhile but not like the old days.
Happy New Year to all y'all,
Bebop

Hi Tony, you are excused, because there are not many of us here.
No, to your question. We don't make anything much here now, all offshore, mostly China.
We do have a very good, and keenly sought after violin maker, and also a specialist piano builder. The rest of us play Golf!!!

Hi Bebop,
congratulations on the 10 years.

I joined up just over 8 years ago.

The first 2 to 3 years were happily spent almost exclusively on your Technics forum.
They were fun days.

Alas after Technics closed down in 2004,
I sold my KN7 keyboard. End of an era.

best wishes
Rikki

I've been a sz member since back when Chris Hansen was the administrator (circa 1998-99). It's nice to see fellow 'old-timers' like DonM still posting here.

I remember those days Scott. That was when we moved from Technics Music Canada. Like Gunnar Johnny, I also had to re-register after the forum crashed in 1999.

HI Rikki,
thanks for the shout. It has been good having you along with us for all these years. I always look forward to your posts and have learned a lot from you and I always wondered why you knew some of those things and I didn't Jann always sez it is because you are smarter then me Yup she is probably right.
I sold all my technics but one when the company folded and sure do miss the KN7000. Maybe someday I will find a good one to buy agin.
Best to you and yours down there in Sunny OZ while everyone up here is freezing except in Sunny California.

I think Technics forum and I think Bebop. What you added to the Technics forum has not been duplicated since – and I sure miss it. You had such an impact on me that Phyllis and I wanted to make a trip just to visit you.

I have tried my best to put life into the Technics forum and learned that I am no Bebobp.

One-for-Twenty was another great idea you had. I always felt that you a sincere interest in helping others to enjoy their music and it does not get better than that. I must add, in all that you did you never left your position as a gentlemen. Bill, it must feel good knowing you have added so much, knowing that you made a difference.

Good health my friend, John C.

PS, Thanks for guidance with my motor home.

Hi Bebop,
thank you for the kind words.

I do regret having sold my KN7, and for a long time, I kept an eye out in the hope of replacing.
Regrettably even if I found one, it wouldn't bring back the good old days of the forum.
So many of us changed keyboards, & left.

best wishes
Rikki

Thank you John, I truly appreciate your kind words. I always felt you set a high standard on this forum and I have been pleased to be associated with you all these years. You are special.
Sorry to be late responding but this is day 10 of the flu for me and I am just now starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. I think I will live
Best regards to you and yours and the invitation stands to come and jam.
Thanks Rikki for your response.
Lindoz it is so good to see you again. I lost your email address and haven't heard from you in a long time. How about an update?
Best to all,
Bebop
