I did this live on the job, no editing. Everything including vocals and harmony is from Audya. There are mistakes, so if you are a perfectionist, don't listen.
I will dedicate this to Russ, because he hates this kind of music.
The reason I posted it was because a friend wanted to hear it, so I thought I might as well share it. http://donmasonmusic.com/Audya%20Songs/

Nice job, Don. The Audya sounds very nice. I must admit, I thought your guitar emulations sounded better on the Roland E-50, but I suppose you're still getting used to the Audya.

The drums are really good.

Great recording considering it was done live.

Very nice Don. I really like the live sound of the Audya. The more I hear the Audya, the more I want one...

Steady on Leezone, BA are doing cheap flights from USA to Heathrow meet you there bring some dollars and you can have an Audya - treat yourself to a Christmas shopping trip to the UK.

Cheers

Doh, whats £4200.00 in US dollars, don't forget you are also buying shares in Ketron when you buy an Audya, like buying a dog at Christmas its for life, a double wammey

Leezone,

What would James say at a time like this, "Leezone your having me on"

Cheers

Don ... good job ... I think I told you that Lydia has been a steady listener to C/W for about a year now... this is one of the songs we get a kick out of ...

The Audya sounds good, and I don't think your emulations are any different, but I do think that some of your other guitar 'voices' were better ... this one sounds a little 'thin' to me ...
But this will also get into the iPOD ...

Good, slurry, drunken country song and all that, but I still don't get all the fuss about Audya drums. To me, the drum track there was barely more than a nod-along percussion track as opposed to a full on kit. I'd have like to have heard some fills and variations, too. Is anyone out there with an Audya that'll do a Billy Idol song, or even a big band tune with some really agile drumming, etc. going on? Let's really hear what the Audya's got in the drums department.

You're right, the drum track was very laid back, as was the original release of the song by Zak Brown Band.
I'll do something from other genres when I get a chance.
Regarding the guitar, most of the original featured acoustic guitar and vocals.
I can see I need to post a few more examples.

Yes, and since you do a good job of guitar emulation, it would be nice to see if Audya has the goods to at least surpass the Roland E-50 in that regard.

Please sir, could we have some more?

Ian

Thanks, DonM. I'm really interested in what that puppy can do. You know, it comes from a pretty decent breedstock (Russ'll like that word) so I'm sure it can deliver when asked.

Zuki: How do like the Audya harmonizer against your Pa800? I don't know how much variability is available on Audya's harmonizer (I know there's, what, 70-some on your Pa800) so it may not be so likely that you use yours the same way. Plus, just hearing the one song probably isn't the fairest way to assess the Audya's, but I'd be interested to hear your impressions/comparisons anyway. Cheers.

I re-read my post and no matter how I tried to interpret it the right way it STILL sounded like a slap at someone, which ABSOLUTELY was not my intent, so I deleted it ..
my apologies...
