Good grief..! Don't Windows users have a 'search files' function..?

I can't believe anyone would come here and say 'I have Windows, and I don't see any program called Movie Maker' without first having used the 'search'.

If it's not on the desktop or Start bar, it doesn't exist?

Some of us don't waste time on fruitless searches because Microsoft very often call their programs by a completely different name from the one by which user's know it - as in Microsoft Word.

One of the great things about the Forum is "If you don't know something - just ask". We are all here to help each other.

So we are a substitute for your unwillingness to even TRY a file search?

I always thought it was 'The Lord helps those who help themselves'...

(not that I'm putting ANY of us in the place of Our Lord, but you get the point! )

If you resent helping, that's up to you -
I don't mind at all so why make an issue out of it.

Would anyone care to help me find my missing sock...? It might be in my sock drawer, but it's a pain to get off the couch...

No, I don't mind helping (and try to do it as much as I can). Do YOU mind trying to help yourself, too? All I was trying to point out was that a simple file search BEFORE he posted would have gotten the answer even QUICKER.
