I haven't heard anything to the contrary, but Chas was scheduled for hip replacement surgery on last Thursday, the 8th. He should be going home this week for an extended recovery.

Let's all wish our friend a speedy recovery.
He's one of my very favorite contributors here. Our short visit a few months ago in Atlanta is one of my favorite Synthzone memories, and I find his posts to be funny, informative, intelligent and sincere.

Get "out and about" ASAP, friend. See you soon.

Russ

Hey Chas...I hope your recovery is quick and the surgery was completely successful.

Get back here soon, buddy.

Good luck and here's wishing you a speedy recovery. A good friend of mine had hip surgery recently and he tells me it was the best thing he's done. He's back to playing tennis and riding his bicycle again.

Chas,

I know the road to recovery can and will likely be long, but I also have a lot of confidence that you will persevere. Get well quickly, play some music and I hope to see some posts from you soon.

Cheers,

Gary

Hey chas... you always were one of our 'hippest' members, now you are going to be bionically 'hip'!

How can any of us compete with that?

I hope the recovery goes well, and you'll be playing 'Mo' Hipper' real soon! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYFX9dvlGBw

Got a nice message from Chas. He's home and complaining about the nursing staff. That let's you know that he's feeling better!

He shared a recording he's working on, and he's in top form, believe me.

We're going to visit as soon as he feels like getting out.

Just had a GREAT 10 minute conversation with Chas. We're going to try to go to Summer NAMM together to meet up with Rory next year.

He's got some healing to do, but believes he can already tell that the healing has begun. He got home about noon on Monday.

This guy's a walking version of jazz history.
I really enjoy his contributions and know he appreciates all the good wishes.

Must've been old and ugly nurses. He'd still be there if they were young and pretty.
