Participation was down this month after an enthusiastic start - maybe it was the summer. Are we tiring of the eJam? Here are my suggestions for September:

And I Love Her
September In the Rain
September Song

Great suggestions Cass. I wish I was not on painfully slow dialup so I could listen to the recent submissions. The Marty Robins version of September In The Rain is among my favorite songs. Unfortunately, at 24,000 bps I would be collecting Social Security a second time around before the songs download. One day we'll get DSL out here in the sticks.

Cheers,

Gary

Hi Gary
Not sure what it’s like over there, but you can get a typical 2Mb connection with a Mobile Phone dongle over here in the UK, so there should be something similar in the US.
Also don’t forget Satellite Broadband, as you have probably already got a dish for your TV viewing, and which can be used for broadband. (Download via dish, upload via normal phone)

Bill,

Where I live, broadband doesn't exist, at least, according to the telephone company, not for the next five years.

Satellite is $149 a month, and I'm not willing to pay that. Cable is $69 a month, which is still way too much money for internet access.

Mobile telephone is available, but in order to use it I have to install a $350 mobile signal amplifier and even then, the connection would be marginal.

A new cable company has recently made inroads in my area and with luck they'll provide connection at a reasonable rate. Until then, I'm stuck with dialup.

Thanks,

Gary
