New S-910 and S-710 vids on YouTube. Not the best vid.., actually rather boring as the guy just runs his mouth for 4 minutes instead of showcasing sounds and styles. Where's Bert when ya need him....?????

Yeah, pretty boring, but thanks anyway Squeak.

The main question concerning the S910 is what new voices does it have?

We know it has MP3 playback. We know that it has a new color screen and white buttons next to the screen. We know that it has 17 new styles. We know that it has nothing else new except for the voices.

There was a thread some months ago about a coming PSR-S950 with some specs that leaked out from Yamaha. These specs had 400 styles plus sampling and optional hard drive. I'm wondering if this PSR-S950 is going to come out next year.

A fellow who seems to be in the know at www.yamahapkowner.com called the PSR-S910 a midterm upgrade (saying that it would come with some unexpected goodies). Midterm upgrade would imply that there is a real upgrade coming.

I for one will wait to see if there is going to be a S950-at the same pricepoint. What good would a S950 be if it comes in for considerably more money, yet, why go for a S910 now, if this time next year, or even Winter 2011 a S950 comes out at the same price as the 910.

Boy you guys are a tough audience. That's what Sweetwater asked for..

Ask away,

The PSR S-S910 is a pretty hefty step up in several ways.

P.S I'm the boring guy ;-)

Hi,

I for one am looking forward with great anticipation to the 910 as an upgrade from my 3000, So please, won't you inform us what features of the Tyros 3 are NOT included in this board and then we'll all have a clear understanding of exactly what's being offered. The current info is a little sketchy, to say the least.

Kind regards,
Henni

1.Does the PSR-S910 have SA2 voices? How many?

2. Does the PSR-S910 have the same guitar voicing in the accompaniment as on the Tyros3?

3. Does the PSR-S910 have a new effects processor for the organ voices?

1: The sounds are SA sounds since the new engine is based on the Tyros 2. There are 38 new Super Articulation Voices. The new voices are taken from the Tyros 2 and Tyros 3. At this point, the SA2 voices are reserved for our flagship Tyros 3.

2: Yes. it uses the new SFF GE the same as Tyros 3. there is also new effects and styles for the guitar.

3. I know there are new effects, as for organ... I'll get back to you on that one..
