Hi all,

Can someone recommend me a good 76 Keys arranger keyboard (except Casio) within the range of $1000?

Thanks!

Only thing I can think of would be a used Roland E60.

I agree with DonM and Fran. Slim pickins for a good 76er in the $1000 price range. In the $1,000 price range for a NEW model gets you a 61 key model.

Roland GW-8
Roland Prelude
Korg PA-50
Yamaha PSR-S700

A good used E-60 would probably be the way to go.

You could look at the Yamaha YPG-235...it is more of a piano with arranger features, but it is inexpensive, and has great sound.

A fine "bang for the buck."

Ian, I don't know his reason for passing over Casio...but this Yamaha shares a lot of the same specs as the Casio (WK series)...namely 32 voice polyphony and a 6 track record sequencer...

He may be able to move up to the 635..doesn't that have 64 polyphony?..although it gets to weigh a lot too...not as portable..

Yeah, they are similar, Fran...I believe the Yamaha would hold it's value better, if he ever decides to trade up at some point.

The 635 has more features but the 88 keys are weighted hammer action, which may not be what is wanted...and you're right, it's not exactly "portable".

The second hand Roland E-60 would be a great choice, as you say...a lot more arranger and better piano as well...but could one get one for around $1000?

That's a really good question Ian. $1000 seems a bit low for a used E-60. Maybe for an E-50.., but low for the E-60.

It does seem a bit cheap for an E-60, Squeak.

Fran bought one some time ago...I wonder what he paid for it?

Knowing Fran, he probably got it for a good price.
