Your sanctimoniousness and obvious agenda are equally so.

There's absolutely NOTHING in my post of a negative nature. One member asks how it gets past the copyright issues, I post the text of the site's policy, and a possible reason why it is still up when many others have been closed down.

You want to read negativity into that, go ahead... Read it into this as well, then:

Have a Nice Day

Bill was nice enough to share something he thought would be advantageous to the group.
Instead of just saying thanks you take a nit picking approach into copyright laws taking this thread into a downhill slide as you always do. If that was a happy moment it could of fooled me.

John-

Go back and re-read the thread. Eddie asked about the copyright angle, which is a legit question, and Diki went to the site, found their verbage regarding copyrights and posted it here for the thread to benefit from as opposed to perhaps assumptions, conjecture or who knows what.

I don't think Diki did anything wrong in this instance whatsoever. By your post, am I correct to say you meant Eddie of all people took the thread down a negative road by asking the original question? That's silly...

If Donny had posted that info, as he has provided details on various questions countless times, would you have reacted the same way? A question was asked...and someone posted a very reasonable answer...

Let's not manufacture this stuff.

Bill read into it what you wish. But as I see it the end result is that a very nice gesture becomes something negative simple as that. This forum is becoming a mine field lately.

That's kind of my point...

I'm trying NOT to read anything into it. Based on the words written, I don't see what you did...

And you are sowing as many mines as anyone else... (more, to be honest).

Well, regarding the editing issue, it's a feature that we can use locally on our PC.
Simply write and edit in Notepad or other applications and copy & paste to the fora
when you got it as you want it.
During the years far to many posts been written that started some kind of issues, and
all that sudden the part or whole post deleted or edited to a totally other post than
the original. Not only here at SZ GenArr, but other fora as well.
If we can't stand for what we post, just don't post.

Regarding the links, noone said anything about not post any links, but I think you'll
manage to find some discussions/treads about copyright issues if you perform a search
at SZ. It's not a unknown theme, it's been discussed several times during the years.
Maybe some of us even remember when Yamaha entered the scene?

What's left? ... If editing, deleting and put up links are what you're looking for,
I guess the free services Google Office & Google Search will be a better choice than SZ.

Cheers

In my LONG experience with Forums of all kinds ,every Forum is a minefield.
Simply because the written word carries no face-to-face contact.
There is no immediate conversation.
Therefore, what has been written is able to be studied and more is read into it than was intended.

My point is that because every forum can be a minefield, we should treat it like one and tread very carefully with our riposte . Avoid instant reactions.

Life is too short to give us time to look for argument.
Let's be kind to each other.
cheers
Eddie
