My deepest sympathy Dan to you and your family. It is great that you were able to play though as hard as it may have been. He would really have appreciated it.

My condolences. Playing for our loved ones' passing is the worst gig, bar none.

Maybe...it's our best gig, eh?

I echo the same sentiments that everyone else has shared. I found after losing my Mom, once I'd made it through the calender one complete cycle...get through her birthdate, anniversary, Thanksgiving, Xmas, deathdate, etc. it got a little easier. I experienced some dread as each date approached as I would think of her in those times. After the year passed, that particular feeling was lessened.

Music will help, no doubt about it...

Dan - so sorry to hear about your loss. My family lost my oldest brother at a young age also. Losing our family (particularly siblings) is so painful and I wish you Godspeed and blessings as you go through this very trying process.

Condolences to you and family.
Both of those songs are great contemporary songs. I am sure she was singing it while you played them.

I learned from a reliable old preacher with many signs and wonders that the soul can stay up to 40 days on earth. We experienced this with my mom's passing back in 99. It was a bit strange with my mom's spirit hanging around us. Everyone felt her presence and strange things would happen around the house. So, if she chooses to, the man upstairs can allow that. I know that you guys are sad but make no mistake, her spirit lives on and you guys will be reunited some day.
God Bless

My condolences. May the peace of God which passes all understanding keep your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. I share with you the joys of being involved with praise and worship. It surpasses all else.
