Save a few bucks.., buy the GW-8 and with the money you save you can buy a nice set of studio speakers that would make the internal speakers on the Prelude sound like a joke. The E-50 has much more going for it IMO. Plus the E-50 has many other features that put it above the Prelude. It sounds good, has many features, is light-weight. I just got it as a fill-in until the Audya arrives, but I like it more and more every night. Can't see parting with it any time soon, even after I get something else, if that ever happens. DonM _________________________ DonM

Diki Registered: 04/25/05 Posts: 14494 Loc: NW Florida	If you fall in love with the Prelude's styles and sounds, you are good to go. But if you want to edit ANYTHING, you are boned, basically. Volume or mute, and that's IT. You can't even change the sound a style part uses. It's a preset machine. Not even a software editor, just extract from MIDI. Horribly time consuming to do even basic stuff (want more or less chorus on a style part? Probably take you over half an hour with GOOD computer skills ) Get the E50/60, and buy a Sonic Cell... _________________________ An arranger is just a tool. What matters is what you build with it..!
