My turn to give the E60 a whirl! Excited about really exploring it this time around and putting it to good use. Thanks Harold.

Congratulations, I hope you enjoy the E60 as much as I have the E50.
There are things you will love and things you won't like, and things you will have to learn to get around or to live with. Like a wife!

I'd wait Zuki, perfect your pa800....Roland is next to realease some awesome new arrangers.Your going backwards IMO...

Or just sell everything asap & get a S900 & take your wife out for a nice weekend with the change

The E60 is very similar to the VA and I have that thing sounding pretty good now. I'm stealing the performances that I can load in the E60. It's how you use a board's potential, not just the latest and greatest. I have the 800 down pretty good now, so wanting to have versatility. Also, 76 keys will be a welcomed addition.

As much as I respect Yamaha, the S900 would be backwards for me.

How come you have the inside Roland track?

And nothing will make the wife happy

That particular E60 comes to you by way of George Kay, JimP, myself and Harold. I think I can speak for all of the previous owners and say you'll certainly find a lot to like. The E60 is a fine board; don't let anyone tell you differently. Jim and I went to the G70 and I think Harold went Yammy. That board should be in perfect shape. Let me know if you need anything.

Donny and Fran have had that same 'inside track' for about a year or so...

Still no new TOTL Roland. But I guess if you keep saying it, no matter how long it takes, you at least SOUND like you know something others don't

In that vein, I predict that it will get cold again this year... I just won't say WHEN

PSR S900 will be old news this summer.
DonM

P.S. But I'm willing to bet the drums will still sound the same on the "new" one.

I had a PA800, but it was when they first came out. They HAVE to sound better now, so my comments are probably no longer relevant.
Other than a hard-to-use OS, bad sound, and limited styles, it was great.

So you were the one who liked the color.

Oh, the color was fine. It had many great features and some good sounds. It just sounded overall like it had a blanket over it, and there were very few styles I liked.
Also, to audition a style you have to load an entire bank. I liked the size, feel and joystick.
I tried to like it for a couple of months. I failed.

"The color was fine
Likewise the design
But the aroma, ah, that was a failure!"

I bet Dennis and Rikki know that one!

Honestly for me & why I got rid of the PA800 was the terrible Folder sets OS system it was so Pa80ish....too many steps to load, save, etc, etc, aside from not enough styles & also what was needed was all modes style/smf/mp3 to play SEPERATLY & SIMULTANEOUSLY ....The color, & many kool on-board & inboard features were nice for live play including the VH...

I am kind of fed up with the same issues that you guys listed here. The OS is got to be the hardest one out there, or it mightt be just me being spoiled by Roland's simplicity.

I just don't understand why is it so hard to sell one? Nobody seems to want it!

Yeah still for sale, I guess people like to buy these 5th hand ones on Ebay for $1800 + $. I bought mine new and haven't really played the darn thing. It;s just sitting there.

@ ZUKI,

I really don't need another VA7! Right now I got a VA76 (AGAIN) and a Kurz K2661 that satisfy me fully... Need the cash for a E80.
