Don't worry, DNJ got me banned from the all-you-can-eat places, at least those that we didn't put out of business.

With a backside as big as yours I wouldn't doubt it. JUST KIDDING DONNY!!!

What ever happened to the principled regime of the South Beach Diet?? Did all the people on this forum using it fall off the wagon? Just asking...

It's ALL intake fellas. And in reality it's more than just doing a diet. It needs to be a "lifestyle" change, NOT just doing a particular "diet" per se. That said, if a particular and well rounded and sensible diet motivates you to lose weight, go for it. Consult your Doctor though before you begin a particular diet regime. But in the end it is a lifestyle change in eating habits that ultimately wins the battle in the end and for the long haul. That and exercise.

PS: I am not speaking this from on a proverbial high horse either but from the trenches and from my own personal experience. Just passing it along for your edification and enrichment.

All the best, Mike

And all in "jest" Donny.

It's not like the information is a hidden secret, right? It's simply common sense and common knowledge incorporated into one's life for a common goal i.e. the maintenance of a healthy body mass index. In other words, a healthy weight for your personal body frame.

Your right Mike after 3 years of maintaining a 100 lb loss on the SBD ....
I slowly slipped off the diet and gained back some weight again due to not strictly maintaining. We all make mistakes. I regret it but hope to maybe get back on track soon and lose some weight again its a roller coaster. Thank you for your concern....at least I quit smoking 25 years ago cold turkey & quit drinking 2 years ago ....2 out of 3 ain't bad.....so Im doing OK.

Glad to hear it Donny.

I smoked for a while many years ago but never really enjoyed it. I quit after smoking for just a few years and boy I'm glad I did. My dad just passed away back in November of '08. He smoked for over 40 years and near the end of his life the smoking really took its toll. He had two lung diseases i.e. Pulmonary Fibrosis and COPD. Ultimately, I think it was his lung diseases that caused is rapid health decline during the last year and a half of his life.

I never had a problem with alcohol but if I keep reading some of these "mine is better than yours" threads on the Synth Zone that may change. lol..

PS: I'm also guilty of doing that same thing too of course. But since I got rid of my Tyros the desire to defend a particular keyboard has kind of waned off. That and I think I've finally learned from the error of my ways. At least I hope so..

All the best, Mike
