After watching the Ravens and Titans battle this evening, I no longer have any fingernails, toenails, have become a full blown alcoholic, and with luck, Pittsburgh will loose tomorrow.

GO RAVENS!

Noel, over here in the US, having found out that we suck at most sports the rest of the world plays (soccer, for instance ), we have invented a game that no-one else plays. We can now convince ourselves that our teams are the best in the world!

It's playoff time. Super Bowl is at the start of Feb. We are all crazy! (It's like the Premier League Championship).

Then we will all return to normal afterwards...

Yeah. It's a bit like Rugby, but somewhat more physical. As for returning to normal, some folks on this forum have never been categorized as such.

Cheers,

Gary

I am a Jet fan.....Always have beem through good and bad. But I believe this is the Ravens's year, Their defense is amazing and defense wins Super Bowls. Not this year Eagle fans. You still have Arizona and the oddsmakers have you only at 3 points,,,,,,I would have guessed far more. Perhaps the road game has shortened the spread against the Cards.

I agree 1000% with your assessment that Defense wins Championships.

As a Pittsbburgh born & raised guy of the 70's, who am I to argue?

The Ravens haven't figured out the Steelers yet this year and I doubt they will now that we have our #1 RB healthy again...

Even if we said the defenses were a wash, the Pittsburgh offense is superior to the Ravens.

Barring something odd happening, I see the Keystone state settling this year's question as to who the best team is...

Good luck, of course to Gary and any other Ravens followers...

Well I do have dog in the games a huge DOG.....Both Pittsburgh and Baltimore have had wins in the last 10 years...I sure would Love to see Kurt Warner get the lowly Cards into the Super Bowl. Kurt has had some really bad years and the Cards.......well NO good years,

So I am fo a BIRD DOG this year..among the fowl.

Regardless of whether or not the Ravens make all the way to the Super Bowl or not, this has been one of the most exciting football seasons I've ever seen. And, keep in mind that I'm one of the old guys that watched what is still touted as the Greatest Football Game Ever Played--when the 1958 Baltimore Colts defeated NY. Johnny-U was fantastic, as cool as anyone that ever quarterbacked any team. He had some of the best receivers that ever played the game working with him, plus an offensive line that was just awesome.

Joe Flaco is equally as cool, has a rifle arm, and he can run the ball as well. Add to that a host of other incredible young players, plus the emotion and cunning of Ray Lewis and the Raven's crushing defense and every game is a nail biter.

I can guarantee you that every TV set in the Baltimore metro area will be tuned to the Baltimore/Pittsburgh game this weekend.

Go Ravens,

Gary

Ray Lewis had a great writeup in the local newspaper this past week, which included some of his amazing stats. You can find them at http://www.baltimoreravens.com/People/Players/Active/Ray_Lewis.aspx
