We have 6-10" in Detroit, making travel very treacherous. Recent budget cutbacks have cut staff and equipment available for clearing roads. All tri-county schools are closed and many offices are not forcing employees to come in. Malls and stores are open.

What are you doing in your area? How do you plan to make your engagements?

Cass it's simple how we make engagements here. WE don't have snow Just kidding of course We don't have the snow YET!!!! I had a gig for in an upscale restaurant tonight. In anticipation of that monster storm that's headed this way they canceled yesterday and instead having the event in January.

It's raining here, temperature is just 35 degrees, and the rain is predicted to change to snow late Saturday night. My policy is, which is clearly stated in my contract, if it's snowing or freezing rain the job is automatically canceled. "Cancellation due to inclement weather conditions such as snow or freezing rain may be made by either party without penalty."

I figure there is no job worth risking injury to myself, destruction of my van and loss of my equipment. For me it's a no brainer!

Cheers,

Gary

At 7:00 this morning it was 68, but shouldn't get more than 76 this afternoon. Hope it stays this way for the Jam!
We've been having a couple hot days, than a day or two where it gets cold, near freezing at night. It snowed about four years ago.
Enjoy!

I just came in from snowblowing the 15 inches of snow that got dumped on us last night. No problem, even took the wife out shopping and to lunch.

The reason the North won the Civil war is because it was too cold up here for those southern wimps. When the temp dropped to below 50 the Confeds whined "it's too cold" and turned back south.

If it warms up to above 30 I might have to go golfing.

If it cools down to 60 here, I may have to kick Tom's Yankee butt.

Guys - hang in there and enjoy it from inside! Having grown up in Western MD I am very familiar with what y'all are dealing with... On the positive side, the white stuff and chilly air do instill more excitement at Xmas time. Down here today...we had low 80s! Had to run the air conditioners!

Where ever you are -- I wish each of you a very safe and happy holiday season!

Randy

Randy,

There was 8-inches of snow at Deep Creek Lake last week. I know you really miss all that fluffy white stuff--NOT!
