Did you make a good purchase deal this last year (musical equipment)?

The last 12 months, I have purchased a lot of gear...here are some of the best deals I made this year..

Not in any particular order..

The EMU Xboard 61 keyboard controller..It is feature laden, with 4 zones, aftertouch, and came with a ton of soft synths..
I purchased this at an unreal price..Brand new in a sealed box from Guitar center..for $99...sells for $249 everywhere...What were they thinking?
I purchased 3 or 4 other controllers this year but have sold them all..The EMU is the best(too bad they didn't make a 76 model)..

Another cool product I purchased this year..The Edirol UA-1ex audio interface,,This $80 wonder performs like a champ, and solved my USB/audio connection to my laptop..It also included great driver with low latency..

My 3rd great deal..The two month old E-60 I purchased...As new condition, and a great fellow to deal with...The Roland E-60 is very hard to beat at any price..when considering the price..it was a no brainer...

My next entry for this year..The pristine DX-7 with "E", I purchased...The deal with Bob , a super guy was a pleasant deal, and a very fair price..

And finally...Mixcraft4 software...my all time bang for the buck recording software with loops, softsynths, drivers, effects and hosting....Simply can not beat it at any price let alone under $100...

So let's hear your deals?

Fran I couldn't of said it any better....

Funny thing is I have all three of these great items also & love them all...but my eyes are open for a few future gear purchases also I also bought a pair of TAPCO (Mackie) THUMP 15A powered Pa Speakers which really is a great buy & they sound awesome on stage...

Two of my favorites from this year...?

My Zoom H2 - better than any built-in arranger recorder I can take it anywhere in my pocket, records up to 24/96 (I usually stick to 24/44), automatic recording, time stamped files... it's a no-brainer!

And a pair of Mackie SRM-150 hotspot monitors. Finally a small powerful self monitoring rig for stereo keyboards that holds up to a live band's volume! Even if the PA is mono, at least I get to hear the full glory! Heck, a small powered sub, and they MIGHT do for a tiny PA for very small gatherings!

What's the best, smallest, inexpensive powered sub?

It's got to match the 150 watt tops, and be hopefully pretty small. I wish that EV little sub were cheaper...

My major great deal was on my Bose Pas L1 shipped factory direct the price was too low to publish and I've been sworn to secrecy. BTW it was all legit, I was in the right place at the right time. And it did not fall off the back of a UPS or Fedex truck.

Another great deal was on my Pa2xPro from Frankieve. I also purchased a new Roland CM30 cube monitor in a sealed carton for $119 from Guitar center. It was a special order and the customer decided he din't want it.

just purchased the logitech Z2300 for AUD$150. i cant believe how good these baby's sound!!

and My PA 800 which i got yesterday. The shop wanted $4,000 for a brand new model and $3550 for a display model.

i was about to buy the display model but one of the lights on a fill button was not working. the Korg rep shipped a brand new unit un opened for the same price

so i ended up paying AUD$3550 for a brand spanking new PA 800!

Last year was my big buying year, but I started 2008 off with acquiring that great E60. Then I bought and sold a pair of CM-30 monitors. That was it until this week when I reacquired a G70 and then bought an FC-7 foot pedal to along with it. Now I'm kinda sorry I sold the CM-30's, they'd be great lightweight amps to have with the G.

But my best purchase of this year hasn't arrived yet - maybe tomorrow. It's a sealed Euro version of a Rascals CD with about 5 songs I've never heard.

The (2) Korgs were amazing buys. Also, I love my Mackie 450s - really brings the sound to a new level live. I also like my Mackie MR8s in the studio - great sound. I'm currently learning the D888 to get demos to everyone

I purchased from AJ and Frank this year - major buys. They are both class act guys in every way

And I don't want to leave out George, who has been great to me in the past.

How do you like those Mackies compared to the more expensive 824's? My boss counts on me to do the ordering for Home recording. Our market is "low end quality" MXL/CAD/ AT mikes,Alesis/Edirol/Zoom/ Behringer Monitors are amazing for the price (about the only Behringer product I would use seriosly) Thei non powered mixers are not bad though for abudget Studio. We carry the Alesis 5" and the Behringer 8's

The "budget" Mackies look interesting.

We have great deals on PRS 20th Anniversary single and double cutaways and Solid Wood Taylors. If anyone knows someone who wants either drop me a PM.
