I am endeavoring to attach a Rode NT1-A Condenser Microphone to the pa800 through a Peak Audio Phantom Power Supply.

Although it works the sound is not loud enough above the song being played as an accompany or through the speakers.

The nob at the back of the unit is turned right up and the Audio In diode flashes intermittently.

The sliders are also turned right up and the indicator on screen for mic/in indicates that it is turned up fully.

Can anyone assist.

Ken,

I know the PA2X has a phantom power setting in global, but not sure if the 800 does. I'll check it out tomorrow.

Thc PA800 does not support phantom power mics, the PA2x does. I use the new EV PL84 and sounds great.

The manual for the pa800 states at page 68 under heading Connecting A Microphone first paragraph:-

"To connect a phantom powered condenser microphone you need an external power supply"

That is is only reference that I could find.
