Using an E-Synth in MIDI thru mode with Cakewalk 9 sequencer. Get stuck notes ALL the time. Any ideas on a fix?

Cheers, rick

If you are getting stuck notes when recording MIDI with an external keyboard it usually indicates a problem with your MIDI/Soundcard on the PC. There is not really anything you can do about it if that is the case, other than getting another MIDI interface. Many soundcard drivers have problems recording MIDI even though they can playback MIDI files OK. Recording is a lot more demanding than playing back.

I don't have Cakewalk installed but it has a box somewhere that says...RETURN to 0...Return all notes to 0 (something like that) This solves the stuck notes but I can't remember how to find it. TOOLS? MIDI devices?...sorry...I'll check around but you will find it quicker.

Ok...just looked at my old files...this is for CWP 6.0

in MIDI OUTPUT...check ZERO Controllers when play stops.
