adimatis,

Really don't need a mixer. The TC Harmony M connects to the Mic/Line in of the keyboard. The MIDI files are fired from the laptop to the keyboard's host/midi connection. MP3s are fired from the laptop's headphone out directly to one of the the amp's auxiliary inputs. The keyboard's standard audio output is fired directly into the amp's main inputs. The phantom power required for a mic comes directly from the TC Harmony-M.

You can use a mixer and do the same thing, but that's one more piece of equipment to lug around and a lot more wires to plug in. The end result is the same.

But he is not using an Amp if he has the Tapco Thumps. They are powered Speakers. In that regard there can be a mixing and EQ issue from all those inputs being "mixed" on a keyboard then through two main line outs.

Though I'm not familiar with DNJ's current system, most powered speakers have more than a single input, As for mixing within the keyboard, this has never been a problem for anyone using Yamaha's PSR or Tyros series of keyboards. I assume a similar system is used on most of the Korg and Roland machines as well.

Im curious. Which powered speakers have multiple inputs. We sell Mackies, Tapcos, Crate ,Yorkville, Yamaha, Alto. Not one in the bunch has more than one input. Some have a choice of input whether speakon,TRS or/and XLR but none have the ability to mix two signals..

Perhaps you are referring to the new Fishman all in one system..

JBL eon and Peavey PRP both have 2 or 3 inputs with 2 or three separate volume controls.

You 'buy to try' most of the stuff available, arrangers, PA gear, etc., and pretty soon you know all this stuff...

I am looking forward to Donny's glowing review of a Wersi, next... (mind you, I'm not sure how easy it will be to get rid of it )

Anyone remember 'The boy who cried Wolf!'?

The entire Barbetta series has multiple inputs, Bose has 4 on their L1 and newer systems, and the Peavey KB systems do as well.
