I am still confused by why, if Yamaha are so adamant about NOT making a 76, that they make the T2/3 almost as wide as one, anyway?

What's all that extra real estate above the top note for? You stick USB2 on the thing, and then widen it to make room for a floppy disk?

Perhaps not as tired as those actually waiting for a usable Yamaha 76, though

IF it were going to happen it would have already.

I belive (as I do think Yamaha believes) If some really likes the Tyros, very few are going to spend upwards of $3000+ for their "second choice" and leave all of what they chose the Tyros first for on the table because of 15 missing keys.

I don't think there would be enough in that category to make Yamaha retool the Tyros. It's still a Home keyboard to them and they have 88 weighted key Clavinova Arrangers for those who want better than 76 keys, 88 weighted!

The Pro division has the Motif and the line between the Motif and tyros is blurring slightly and I expect will become more blurred as time passes.

Hell All I want is HDMI or DVI out!!! LOL

Predictably, someone that can't even PLAY the piano would come out with THAT tired argument...

Given your already admitted lack of skills, why don't you pester Yamaha to have LESS keys? What's the point of them, if YOU can't use them, eh?

There is NO Yamaha equivalent to the T3 in any form whatsoever. The Clavinova's are a pale shadow of that TOTL arranger. But, again, I didn't really expect you to realize that... Too many notes to be worth playing, huh?

Diki Diki Diki...Don't mistake my humility for a lack of natural talent. I certainly don't mistake your boisterous attitude for the same.

I posted my work. I don;t care whether you like it or not. I don;t care whether anyone likes it or not. I enjoy the process. The rest is a bonus. Here it is again.

..NO arranger when I did this. Had to do it the old fashion way. Play every note.It may not be a great song But its mine through and through.

BTW I could have done that song on a 12 key controller. So yeah I don't need a lot of keys. And I certainly would not pass on any keyboard that would have been my first choice because of 15 missing keys!I bought the PA2x partly because of the keys until I realized how much I gave up for what I did not need.

The Clavinovas are a different breed, but the same market. Hardly a pale shadow They are behind the Tyros in some technology as is the S900, But that does not make it any less of a choice for someone who wants 88 weighted keys and a ton of SART voices and styles. In fact until the Tyros 3 There wan;t all that much difference between a CVP405 and T2.

Oh and if you really want a lot of keys buy a 10lb 76key controller. That's a far better idea then paying over $3000 for a "second choice" Arranger. Ya think?

Yamaha understands this and they are far more market savy about their business than you. Although you may think different as you ride that high horse of all things.

To the OP. Enjoy the Tyros, You made a great choice and I am confidant it will serve you well for many many years. It's worth every penny. Even with it's lack of those 15 most important keys.
