Look its better than the T2 so I bought it. But not much better. It's really a basic update. Even the sliders are a joke. You literally can't use them for anything useful except for the organ. For example I want to assign one slider to accompaniment drum volume. It can't be done!!! I mean that's basic stuff...

G70.... the sliders do everything. Live part mixer vol, pan, chor and reverb. Style Parts, ditto. SMF parts, ditto (plus mutes), voice editing (filters, LFO's etc.).

I can't believe Yamaha missed this basic opportunity.

The sliders on the Tyros3 will do the same...just go to the relative mixer page.

The sliders are better than oon the Korg in build quality and they do far more than Chony (who apparently had Yamah piss in his Cherios at one time) would lead one to believe.

Dig a little Deeper....

Learn how to use it or sell the keyboard Chony. Your whining and bashing is getting old. And to pay $3000+ for five SA2 instruments seems rather a stretch of logic as well.

Sell it . Its an easy sell.

ITs not the end all of Arrangers, but believe it or not some actually prefer it over the Roland and yes even the PA2x....HArd to understand I know, But just accept it and move on.

Thats the mark of a good sounding keyboard to the owner. I am referring to those packs that ADD something the keyboard does not already have.....not better sounds of what is already in the board.

This may seem like a rather naive question, Chony, but why would you spend so much money without at least trying the keyboard out and dicovering it might not suit your needs.

If you did try it out, then the less than satisfactory drums(your opinion)and sliders(again, your opinion)would have been immediately obvious.

What gives buddy?

Ian

He already answered that question ...basically 5 SA voices....Thats about $700 a voice. Could have bought a screaming notebook with VSTi's that could have reached that goal and more. Lot less to carry around with the PA2x as well....

So he already tried it out before he bought it?

This is good news, for a minute I thought what was Yamaha thinking, Ian thanks for clarifying that!
