I have a used T2 which someone is interested in buying. It is 3 years old, and I've used it quite heavily. It does not look new, but it is in full working condition. What would be a fair price in your opinion?

I am watching T2 prices because I am considering selling one also and this last week I have seen 2500, 2400 and last night on ebay at the electronic store 2200.

I sold my T2 in January 2008 for $2200 on e-bay. After fees etc I netted about $2050.

Here in UK , I have found a price for a T2 in part/ex for a T3 at £1400 which in USD is something like $2450 but for a straight sale only around £900 or USD1575

The prices seem to have dropped on ebay just recently, maybe because the 3's are out. I listed mine there a few days ago with a starting bid of $1800 and a buy it now of 1850. It was just like new with manuals, CD and box. About 24 hours after I listed it I had a chance to sell it locally for 1650 and took it rather than gamble on what I might have gotten on ebay. The fact that there were no fees, no shipping, and I didn't have to haul it over to the UPS place and have them tell me it wasn't packed well enough was worth something, but I still feel like I sold it a bit low.

You guys..darn it...don't sell your T2's cheap ($1650...that's way too cheap) it hurts us all that have one to sell...
If it's in great shape..near new condition it should bring $2300. IMHO.
Thanks,
Lee

I would not pay more than $1600 for a used T2. Especially since the T3 and other newer boards are out there. I am sure that there are others who would agree.

You know, it's your money and all, don't get me wrong, but an EXTRA $1500+ after you sell your T2 to get a T3?

That's what I call one hell of an expensive upgrade... especially for a model that is only slightly improved in sounds and styles... Sure, I payed about that extra after selling my G1000 (actually, I sold the G1000 a few months after I got the G70), but firstly I had had my G1000 for about ten years, and secondly, the difference in sounds and OS and hardware between G1000 and G70 is night and day.

But the change from T2 to T3 seems more along the lines of Korg's FREE upgrade to the PA2X, with a handful of sounds thrown in. FOR ANOTHER $1500+. Heck, you could buy a backup S900 for that

But I guess you got to have the latest greatest, or hang your head in shame at the next arranger club meet!

T1 owners, S900 owners, I'd say this is a worthy use of $1500-2000+, but I have to say, if I had a T2, I'm not sure I'd be ponying up another $1500 just for a few more sounds and styles.

JMO...
