Does T3 use the same RAM as T2? Or do I have to buy new RAM?

The T-3 uses the same PC100 or PC133 ram , same as the T-2.

Maybe you can help me !

I installed 2 , 512`s ( 1 Gig ) in my T-3 and after I hooked it all up I went in to verify my ram and found that I had 1024 Mb ( 1 Gig ) showing , but 1 Mb was used with 1023 available , but there is nothing using that 1 Mb every thing is stating "empty" ????

Can you help a very tired soul !! LOL

BTW -- The T-3 is a SUPER +++++ arranger !!

While some memory chips actually provide you with the amount of memory printed on the chip, this is not usually the case when it comes to the amount of available, free memory. More often than not a small amount is used by the device's operating system, which usually accounts for the difference. I just added another pair of chips to my PC, which should have provided me with 1.24 gigs of ram. However, after doing a check disk it revealed there was just over a gig of RAM, the rest consumed by the PC's operating system.

I really appreciate your help, I know that
as far as HD`s are concerned you never get what you have or buy. the 80 gig in my Mac is 74. something formated same as the T-3.

But the 1 gig of ram in my Mac shows up as 512 x 2.

I`m sure that it is fine , if the ram was bad I`m sure it would not show up at all , and it is showing 1024 - 1 used, 1023 for me !!

Yes..........I bought 2 sticks of 512K ram from the same ebay dealer I used for Tyros2's ram. $48 delevered. It arrived today. I've got the ram, stand and speakers, but no word on Tyros3 yet. I should hear something this week........I hope!! -charley
