If you go to wikipedia.org and lookup Yamaha it says that Yamaha owns 51% of Korg. Is this true? Is it still true?

I wouldn't be surprised.... did you also check when the article was last updated?

Still to many people fooling around with Wikipedia, which is a shame.

Korg was controlled by Yamaha in a short period of time between 1987 and 1993 but has been independent since then. Read the complete story of Korg here (highly recommended for all Korg fans):
