Hi... I don't post here that often but I do read most of the threads.
I just wondered if anyone else has tried to contact Ketron through their web site.
I have enquired about the Audya release date three times over the last two weeks via the contact us link and have had no response at all.

I have owned Ketron and Solton product going back many years and if anyone from Ketron in moitoring this forum ....have a word with your support team.
Even a polite " no release date yet" would have been better than nothing.

By the way my current board is a Tyros 2 and
in my opinion for the price the Tyros 3 is not that much of an improvement.....

Cheers.... JDX

The Audya was demoed at the shows a few months back & then never seen again.......your guess is as good as ours if it will ever be released in the future.
As far as support, although Ketron produces great products I would say they need to step it up in theis regard its one of the big reasons people shy away from purchases.

JC.....yes I have owned & performed with so many Ketron products & never had a problem.
AJ & Dan O were always there for me of which I am very grateful for their support & friendship through the years. I understand they are a smaller company with a very good product worldwide, but a bit more support just in case would surly benefit & build confidence to many users & perspective buyers for sure.

At the Ketron Italy website the link to more info about the Audya says 12/03/2008 in the link. Maybe that is referring to when it will finally be released.. hopefully.

If it is released in early December it will be about 2 months "after" the Tyros3 will have been released if what Steve Deming said about the T3 release i.e. "two weeks" is correct for when the T3 will start showing up in stores.

I can't imagine Ketron going ahead and releasing the Audya at the astronomical price of $5,100. That's the street price I might add. It will have to be pretty astounding to make any dent in Yamaha T3 sales which will be flooding the market in two or so weeks. I know Donny already has his eye on the T3 and will probably be one of the first ones in line to snag one. As well as up to 50% of other members on the Zone too. They can smell the plastic now.

Best,
Mike

It’s interesting the differences between the US and the rest of the world.
The US has higher pay and lower prices then most other countries, yet when it comes to arrangers they aren’t prepared to use the surplus cash to buy the top models.
Contrast this with the rest of the world where TOTL arrangers sell buy the truck load.
As to DNJ getting a T3, then at the last count he had a T1, which means nothing he has can be used on T3, (They can’t even be converted) and I can’t see him spending weeks setting up a new board. (Which the T3 is, and not as some people seem to think, a minor update)

Surplus cash?

Have you even read the news this week? Our government just decided to take $3,500 out of the pocket of every single taxpayer in the USA to bail out a bunch of stupid, greedy, irresponsible mortgage and money managers. And this is only the beginning...

There goes MY T3!

BTW, it's very telling that when our government tries to bail out POOR people, it's labeled 'socialism' (which Americans can't tell from communism! ), but when that same government bails out RICH people, it's called a 'bailout' and appears perfectly fine with Washington.

As if we really NEEDED any further proof as to their core constituency
