I have been reading posts for months now from the members of this forum, so most of the names here sound very familiar to me. I want to say Hello to all of you now , since I just received my Pa2xpro three days ago. I have read most of the manual but find the unit a bit intimidating. So my first question goes: I have tried to save Global style parameters ( mainly expert chord recog. mode) When I turn the unit on again...still the defaulted fingered3 appears. What am I doing wrong?
Second: I select an mp3 file to play on top of it with piano sound stored in STS1 . I want the piano to always start 2+up in upper octave when I load the song into any of the players. When I change to style or turn the unit off and then try to select he same "saved in songbook" mp3, the piano is in STS1 but in the default "0" position in upper keyboard. please excuse my confusion , and I apologize if I am taking too much space here or asking silly questions for the experts.
Thank You for any help that I may receive and God bless

Hi Glaucotech

Congratulations on your purchase. I love my Pa2X too. I am no expert, but try this.

Power up the Pa2x, go into preferences and select the Expert mode, then Write Performance. That way every time you turn the Board on it defaults to Performance 1:1 where you have saved that mode, and it will remain in that mode as you continue to use it.

I do not use mp3s, but try unlocking the Master transpose. Global, General Controls, Lock, unlock Master transpose, then write Global-Global Setup.

Best wishes and God Bless you too, Graham
