Okay. I took the plunge. Got a decent deal on a slightly used G-70. I'll add Version 3 to it as soon as it comes in. Let's see how I like this arranger universe! :-)

I think you'll be pretty happy...the G70 is an awesome arranger...one of the best.

Welcome, Mike.

Even though I've switched to an E60,I feel the G70 is the best arranger I've ever owned or played. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Don't let the weight discourage you; the features are definitely worth it.

From a fellow Mike in California (some call it Mexifornia now) and if you're our Governor you call it Kalifornia - Welcome Mike!

It's good to know we now have an attorney on the forum - just in case we run into any music Style legalities, etc. Although your branch of attorney law might not deal in copyright infringement, etc. >> Just kidding with you.. Sit back and relax and enjoy the SZ forum. Some of us tend to get a little ornery once in a while but we usually kiss and make up once our administrator Nigel Spencer locks the thread and we have to start fresh with a new one, which then gives us the needed time and incentive to make amends with one another - hopefully anyway.

But then it usually cycles again every 3 or 4 days or so, but if nothing else, at least you won't get bored reading the threads with all the twists and turns and orneriness spewing forth - until they get locked. lol

Best,
Mike

PS: I hope I haven't scared you away Mike. It really is a great forum with great people and a great resource for arranger keyboards.

Thanks all for your welcome!
As for the weight of the G70, I don't think it'll bother me. When I play with my band, one of my two boards is an Alesis QS8.2 weighted 88 note -- 48 to 50 pounds without the hard case. So, I'm sure I'll be fine.
Looking forward to it, and to reading a lot more here.
Thanks again!
