Read the review on the PSR550. It's dated 2004 and written by a clasical music player from Nigeria (probably the same guy that's about to mail me my $10,000,000 check).

That black model 550 makes no sense at all. If you look at the specs for the unit you'll see they are the old specs from the PSR-550 and do not match this so called PSR-S550. Plus if you inlarge the pic you'll see the product title and model number on the pic don't match. The pic shows it to be a PSR-S550.

Perhaps this is a possible new addition to the lineup, and the site majorly screwed up the specs. Seriously..., inlarge the pic, based on the pic there appears to be 16 trks on this model. If it's a photo job.., I say it's well done.

Hey this S550 is listed in more than one place. This site states a UK release in November and that it replaces the S500. If this new model is legit.., I say it looks great with a black case and speaker grills.

Yup !!

The PSR-S550 > IS < a new model.

If guess Yamaha has a bunch of XG Midi disc`s that they don`t know what to do with.

Just looking at the panel layout of the new S550..., It's possible the sequencer is now 16 track. If you look at the part/registration buttons you'll see half are 1-8 and the other half is 9-16.... Also take note to the top right of the screen and you'll see the words "style creator". Is it possible they finally brought style recording back to the lower end..?? Interesting that they're popping this model out already. I wonder how much more it will cost than the S-500 and how different the specs will be.

Boy that thing looks pretty sharp in a black case. With that color it looks very sleek too. I wish more of the keyboards today were made with this color body. Ever since Korg released the Trinity..., that silver color (of all shades) has just gone wild.

Dnj, I didn't want to clutter this forum with posting such a big image on it. That's why I posted the LINKS to the images.

Yes this is a new model psr-S550, replacing the psr-S500. No, it doesn't have a floppy disk. The specs listed are for the old PSR550, but I'm sure most of you already figured that out.

Wait until you play outside in the daytime...

That black color is a heat sink. Give me silver or white, any day.
