Powered only. Want to keep on the small size, but with at least 50W or more.

Will hook up to my D1200MK11. Accepts digital - is it worth it?

Thanks

I haven't got mine yet, but I've ordered the Tascam vl-a8. You might be happy with the vla-5. Their vlx line, prior to this vla line, were very highly praised by home studio owners. They are definitely in the lower price bracket when it comes to studio monitors, but the specs look pretty nice, and the fact that nobody really had bad things to say about the prior VLX line, I've decided to try them out.

I'm using Samson Rubicons, not bad for the price.

The price has dropped a bit on the new Mackie HR824mk2 monitors. I haven't heard about the new ones being inferior, so I can heartily endorse these.

They are workhorses, extremely comfortable to listen to for hours on end, and have a very smooth sound. Plus, they go as low as any monitor in this price range I have ever heard. People always look around for the sub! I don't have one...
