Sounds promising, imagine not having to buy another keyboard just an update to the OS with lots of good things in store. Time will tell!! Let's hope it's not all hype. But it beats having to buy a new piece of hardware.

Gonna be a long wait, but should be worth it. haahaa

Wonderful that they actually UPGRADE for free and not just give you the occasional bug fix.

Welcome to Roland-world!

Everybody rides for free! (except the new OS for the E80, which adds mp3 playback and about a dozen new styles. It's a whopping $30 or so... mind you, you'd pat more than that for the styles alone, from Yamaha).

So much for so-called 'closed' arrangers, eh? Truth is, for quite a while, they ALL have been 'open'. It just depends on the company whether it CHOSES to write new OS's or not...

New free features have been introduced for years on most other instruments, however the most exciting part is the launch date, which is slap bang in the middle of the Pakefield keyboard Festival, and so it will probably be the first live hearing, combine this with Tyros 3 and who knows possibly even a new Roland Arranger, and once again you get a great show for very little money. (No substitute for hands on)
Combine all the above with my upgrade to OAS 7, (And possibly the OAA if it suits after I have given it a good test) and I can’t wait for it to come.
Roll on September

Bill
