The Axiom is considered the most dependable to date for M-Audio..The early models were just cheap..They re-vamped the keybed on the monster[heavy) model..

What made this unit interesting to me is the USB Audio interface..and it has plenty of inputs..Mic[XLR]..aux ins...instrument in..with individual volume knobs..

Also has 128 GM sound table besides the 7 preset sounds..

I removed the pic..too large..You can view the large pic on the posted web page..

I'd be very interested in your review Fran. M-Audio hasn't had much good news lately. Many customers having "quality control issues". I heard a rumor (I know.., not supposed to listen to rumors), but MusiciansFriend is supposed to have considered (or it was on the idea table) pulling M-Audio keyboards due to the high volume of returns.

I would assume this model replaces the previous 88 note semi-weighted digital controller they had.... Would love to hear about the key action (especially velocity settings on the keys--if they're consistent) If M-Audio is working on their current issues, and the've been fixed with this model.., it would make one hell of nice 88 key controller..., wouldn't even be a chore to bring it to gigs, and midi her up to another board.
