Hi Mike
I think you might mean GNMIDI from Gunter Nagler, and another (free) one is prsutil (or similar name??) I think it was called available for free via Jorgen Sorensons webpage..

Hi Mike - also, Band-in-a-Box will allow you to import a midi file and it will interpret the chords for you in the process. PG Music's Power Tracks also interprets chords for you from MIDI files.

Good luck and hope you find the one that works best for you.

Hi Mike,
heap of freebie software for Yammies.
It might be Michaels Midi Player, that alters the voices??

There's utilites for nearly any problem http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/software.htm

Hi Dennis, is this what you're referring to http://www.heikoplate.de/mambo/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=67&Itemid=44

Thanks everyone
yes the one I was thinking of is PSRUTI by Heiko Plate. I used to use a bunch of those great free utility programs I just couldn't remember which one was which.
I can't seem to download the latest PSRUTI from the link provided.

I'm gonna try and find one that I can find to revoice smf to the s 700. When I had the tyros it came with a data sheet that gave you the midi numbers for all the voices, I can't find a similar sheet for the 700 so I was hoping maybe there is a program that has the map loaded.
I, of course, want to use the sweet, live, and other voices rather than just the gm set.
I also would like to edit them on the computer.

Hi Mike, the voice nos. for the S700 (and most Yam KB's) are available here:
http://www.yamaha.co.jp/manual/english/index.php

Type PSR S700 into the Search box, then select Data List against PSR900/S700.
You'll get a pdf file and voices are amongst the first pages after the index. Make sure you get into the section for S700, the first voice pages are for the S900.

I could not download the psruti but I emailed Heiko Plate and he so generously took time from his I'm sure busy schedule to email the file to me.
I would like to thank him for providing a great service to all of us.
