The pa800 harmonizer sounds great, I just wish it had a XLR connector like the 2X does.

LOL - No thanks. Have too many things on the plate already

Still have your 800 for sale? If I come across some money soon, I might be interested.

For $299 or less, the Harmony-M and G are great boxes. I can't see the independent need or use of the others, for me, but if you put them all together you get the Helicon TC ($799) for a lot more money and a lot more space.

Don't forget that Digitech is a big player in the market too. And the older models of either maker are still good boxes and great values for the money.

That harmony sounds super!

OK, bare with me on this question please.

I would like to sing more. But I really am pretty bad at it! Sometimes I can hit notes, sometimes not. If I practice a lot on a song I can get pretty close on most notes. I do believe I have a pretty good ear for the music. It's my vocal chords that don't do that well? lol

With a high end vocal processor like TC Helicon, using PITCH CORRECTION how much will it help?

Also, what about using the arranger right hand notes to control the correct pitch as I sing? I think this is vocoder mode? Would it really be worth trying?

Thanks,
Lee

The 800 is gone! Sold ot 2 days ago on craigslist ( for a nice profit too).
I should have my new toy by Monday (slightly used PA2x).

If I come across another 800 I'll let you know.

@ Lee,

A vocal processor makes a good singer sound better, and a bad singer sound terriblee.

Hey Goran -

Good selling - I thought you were going with Roland? I envy you on the PA2X.

The trouble with built-ins, Donny, is that you HAVE to pay for them, whether you want to use them or not!

I've no use for mine, and would have happily paid $800 less for the G70 without one..!

I'm STILL trying to convince my audience that most of what they are hearing is actually being PLAYED, rather than karaoke. Add in a bunch of harmony parts that they can see are obviously not there, and that becomes harder and harder to do. Might as well just use mp3's, and record REAL harmony parts (and guitar parts, basses, whatever) and go full karaoke... (and save the money on the box).

Plus, I'm an old Beach Boys and Beatles fan (especially Beatles for harmonies), and counterpoint is what I prefer in good BV's. Something not so easy to do with these boxes. So, I would prefer that the cost of them is not included in the basic arranger cost, and those that DO want them have the choice of which they use. As you are finding out on the S900, whatever cost that built-in adds, it's money down the drain. You HAVE to buy a better one, anyway!

That's the game Diki....arrangers are loaded with tons of features most we never use but pay for..but who cares when your a pro making big bucks performing you make your initial cost for the unit 100's of times over & over again.....so to me its a very decent profitable investment
