I lost a significant fraction of the viewing area when I changed my glasses recently. Now when I look at my PA80 while singing to the mic, I see the top half of the buttons through the glasses and the bottom half directly which is pretty confusing. Now I'm thinking about trying a headset mic so I can turn my head a bit more and see all the buttons through my glasses. Any recommendation is greatly appreciated.

I'd like to stay around $200 or go below that if possible. That doesn't mean I would go for anything that comes with such a price tag; if there's nothing decent in that price range, I'd probably try harder to get used to the current set up or change glasses once again :-(

Thanks
Shiral

At your desired price point, try ATW251/H92 . But there are other AT systems available.
If you already have a wireless system, consider adding this mic; it's the best. We have one at church I love it. AT892

Check out this comparison of three AT systems.

You're wearing the wrong kind of glasses. Whoever fit you did not take into account how important your vision is when you're performing. Are you wearing bifocals? If so, they should be progressive lenses... preferably a high quality progressive lens, such as one made by Varilux.

Also, the frame should be large enough to provide an adequate vision range, both horizontally and vertically.

With or without a headset mic, you should be able to see your keyboard, music, and audience easily and clearly.

Dan, Do you know how Shure WH20XLR compares against crown CM311A? Price of CM311A is OK with me if it's significantly better than WH20XLR?

Yes GlennT, I'm sure wearing the wrong glasses. I have good vision range horizontally, but it's limited vertically. It was too late when I realized that.

That's funny cassp! I had a good laugh!!

Thank you all

The Crown mic is superb. You cannot go wrong with it. Ask Garth Brooks, Britney Spears, and Janet Jackson.

Shiral, I had the Shure WH20XLR a couple years ago. Unfortunately, it mysteriously disappeared after I played a gig. It's a good mic, but in my opinion the Crown 311a is signifcantly better than the Shure.
