Just heard from my Korg Rep, the PA800 will be going from $2699 to $2899 MAP.

So those of you that I have quoted a price for please make you decision today, they have some stock left at the current price.

So to get those great prices call me today, I have a couple on order at the old prices.

Frank what was the reasoning for the increase? The older these units get the more they cost?....I dont get it.

My guess, and it's only a guess, is that the PA800 and PA2xpro are designed and manufactured in Italy.

So the mass production quantities of a China or Korea can not be met, so production cost to keep up with the demand.

Or they just want more money

I'm sure that would have something to do with it, by why would it only be on the PA800?

I would guess it would be across the board, unless the PA800 is the top seller and don't want to hinder the sales of the other boards?

Main reason must be the drop down fall of the dollar.... european pricess will not rise.

Thats a good thing for those who already have them. Keeps the value up on the second hand market. Even though there really isn't a second hand market. At least they RAISED MAP. Yamaha likes to lower map and maintain costs...

So far the price is the same, Korg is having a problem keeping up with the demand.

Looks like they will be caught up by middle of June.
Then probably a increase.

As the dollar plummets, and transportation costs rise, expect to see this across the board in the near future.

But hey, Dubya says there's no inflation or recession going on, so it MUST be true, eh?

I am more concerning about the rising Fuel-
prices here in Holland (1,60€/Liter=2,52us$)
=9.52$/us gallon !(US price 3,91$)

Just be glad you don't have to drive over 60 miles just to get to the next small town...

As short a distance as you probably have to travel to get to nearby cities, for all your gas's high price, you are probably spending less for transportation than many US musicians (in all but the Northeastern States).

The two CLOSEST towns to me are 45 and 60 miles away! And I am in a fairly developed part of the country... Some have to drive much further than that..!
