I just purchased a korg i30 as a back up for my old dinosaur on ebay for $391. That includes shipping. It's supposed to be in good playing condition. It's possible I'm set for life. Ha! Ha! All of my sequences will play through it. It may not have a hard drive but I have 2 sitting on a shelf.

Brickboo,

After performing with my PA800 for the last 2 weeks (this thing is terrific), I would never laugh at a Korg arranger

Ughhh..finishing up another night on my new web site to be launched soon.

Good luck!

Boo, all the guys wondered why you weren't at the Jam. We missed hearing your sax, if not your antique keyboard!!

Boo.....sometimes OLDER is better. You'll be in your comfort zone for sure.
The Korg i30 was a super Classic arranger with many really nice features.

Yeah! My wife said that, but that was a long time ago.

Yes, but not for sale right now..

10 years ago..there were some great arranger keyboards..Roland G1000, Ketron X1, and Korg i30.....sorry I don't recall a great Yamaha then

PSR8000 set the bar for it's day, kn5000 turned many a head (and ear!), and the 9000pro...that was about 10 years ago, and it was REALLY great. ( for it's day! )

Boo, just for kicks, I sometimes add a Korg Micro Synth (1979) or a Piaia "Strings and Things" (late 70's)-a kit from the people who now make fog lights and electronic kits like Theremins-to my top rack just to remind myself how far equipment has come, and to remember how surprisingly good some of the old gear was.

Man, I'm still playing two old MS-60's from the early 90's, and I've got lots of new stuff. If I could, I'd play my B-3 and Rhodes every night.

The point is, play what allows you to say (musically) what you want to say.

I've got an old 130 around here somewhere.
I've heard your stuff, and you sound good playing any damn thing you want to play.

Don,

Boo couldn't make to the jam because he spent all his money on "new" equipment.
