Wow. What keyboard is he using? What kind of backing tracks is he using for the drums and rhythm?

Pretty much all of it is played live with any backing played and programmed by himself (He has also included a Midi recording of the last part of the performance as a demo on all the instruments)
No 3rd party sounds or instruments were used.
You can find more information in the brochure here http://www.4shared.com/file/28662846/503c24d0/Wersi_Open_Art_System.html

Bill

You didn't mention what kind of instrument, Bill, and what size keyboards(upper/lower) it has.

I'm curious.

It's either Wersi Verona or Wersi Scala, both upper and lower keyboard is 61 keys long. Quite powerful, but as well big, heavy, and expensive "toy". :-)

More info at: www.wersi.com

Thanks, kalimero...I thought the piano playing on the 61 note upper keyboard was impressive.(in fact, ALL the playing was pretty impressive!)

One could buy several arrangers for the price of one those babies, I imagine.

I have had the pleasure of hearing Mark live on a couple of occasions. He is English but lives and works in Germany..He is undoubtedly one of the very best organists in the world today.

The sound system is the same on all the instruments, (Arrangers and Organs) with variations being keyboard combinations, speaker systems etc.
The instrument being used is a converted Spectra (Pretty much all Wersi instruments built since 1984 can be updated to an OAS instrument) and is the equivalent of the Verona, with 2 61 note manuals and a 25 note full pedal board.
Arranger keyboards start with the 76 note Ikarus and 61 note Abacus.
Regards

Bill

Bill,

Is that Katharina Bach in the background? She's also a fantastic player.

Bill how much are the Abacus arrangers going for right now with the new OAS included. I'm taking a serious look at them.

Haven't Wersi heard...? Apparently, there is no market for 76 note arrangers!

But seriously... Finally, a Wersi demo that doesn't 'cheese' it up, no skating rink organ anywhere! This was some pretty serious playing, and a great selection of sounds to play it on. First rate.

I would buy it, but Wersi obviously has no respect for the 76 key market. They have lost my business.

There are definitely drums in there that are not live, and although I can't hear it so well I'm sure there are other backing tracks too.

Hi Chony
The Ikarus has 76 notes, almost all the features of the Abacus, (including inbuilt speakers) and is significantly lighter, (About the weight of a Roland G70/E80) you can also add a 76 note keyboard to the Abacus, and so why do you say Wersi have no respect for users who want a 76 note board?

Taike
The video was shot at a local get together at Wersi Austria, so I would say yes it was.

Regards

Bill

Apart from the OAS demos on the right, all the demos are of OAS 6 not the latest OAS 7.
The ones on the right (Except Styles/presets which uses OAS 6) use various VST Plug-in instruments in addition to the internal sounds. (All Wersi OAS instruments have an onboard VST Host)

Bill Wow!!! Sounds great!

I better stop listening to these new OAS7 Wersi units or I know its going to cost me $$$!
I just keep thinking if I buy one I might never have to buy another arranger again with the continuous OS updates.....its like getting a new KB with every version. BTW how is Wersi service in the USA.
