Ok all you hipsters, jazzers, and R&B players... who's got the best style suggestion for Rio De Jeneiro Blue? Love that song!

Thanks to all who can help and y'all have a great week!
Randy

The Yamaha's have some great Bossa Nova Styles, pick any one of them and go for it.

The Pop Bossa Nova style, third variation, with a tempo of 132 seems to fit very nicely.

Good Luck,

Gary

Thanks Guys! I will give them a try. And Gary, enjoy that sailing! I have a 20 foot fishing boat, but the cost of gas and oil has made me settle for a "BK Big Fish". HA HA.

Thanks again!

Anyone have the sheet music for this tune?
thnx,
t.

PS ... quite a difference in the feel between the Randy Crawford version: http://cadillacslim.imeem.com/music/xnDv1OSd/randy_crawford_rio_de_janeiro_blue/

and the Mario Biondi Version http://beemp3.com/download.php?file=460790&song=Rio+De+Janeiro+Blue

Tony,

I agree. I really liked the Randy Crawford version best, and I would like the music, or at least the chords for it as well.

Thanks,

Gary

I'm a fan of Randy Crawford, but I thought Biondi has a 'cool' sounding voice ...

Here's a link to a digital sheet music source ... you first have to D/L some free software ... http://www.musicnotes.com/sheetmusic/scorch.asp?ppn=SC0007603

But if anyone already has it and is willing to share it, free is ALWAYS better, right ?!?!

Tony,

After you download Scortch, it will take you to a page where you can send them $5.95 for the privilage to download the 6-page file.

Gary ... yes, I knew there was a cost for the music ... one advantage - for at least some of the tunes - you can transpose it to the key you want ... very handy for 'vocalists' like myself who can't always sing the tune in the original key ...
