Yep... Tiny, portable (no need for the computer), built in mikes, simple to operate. At your level of knowledge, I'd say it's close to perfect...

You can still use it as your starter audio interface as you start to progress to a computer DAW. I've got a full Mac based home studio, MOTU interfaces, Mackie monitors, all the software you can shake a stick at. The H2 is STILL my goto scratchpad recording device.
