Personally all I wish for that the T2 didn't incorporate is:

Pro Grade Quality Vocal Harmonizer eg:
TC Helicon, Digitech, etc.)

Music Finder Directory that Saves all parameters including Transpose with a bigger Tilt display.

A more ergonomically design without the sharp corners & less overall real estate with a smaller footprint.

Good On-board Speakers

2x More User RAM storage

Ability to delete & store All FACYTORY STYLES

How about you?

Yamaha RD dept, hope your reading this

Digital output , Dolby 5.1 mixing.
Sliders for drawbars and other functions.
USB 2.0 or better (if there is)
Reading Akai samples, larger onboard memory (higher speed for loading samples).
Better screen what you can read outdoors.
Better coating, please make it black or something like it.
Better search software to find styles & midi's.
+ 1 octave with the same widht of the case.
Weight the same as the T2.
Onboard Mega enhancer, also for style editing !
And ofcourse better life drums, and more sa sounds.

People keep asking for "drawbars", when in reality, Yamaha already created the BEST system on the PSR 8000 (discontinued). Instead of drawbars they had eight vertical wheels, which is much better because no matter what parameter you need, a wheel is already at the right "value".

Real Drawbars are the only way to control the Tone wheel sound as you need to physically manipulate and feel the shape of the drawbars, sliders are the next best form of control with wheels and touch buttons way down the list.
I still think Yamaha had the best idea on their FX range of organs (Electones) in the early to mid 80s, as all the sliders were motorised with their positions being memorised in the Preset.
However no matter what form the Tyros 3 takes they Yamaha will probably still sell them as fast as they can make them.

Ok, I'll play...

1 76 keys
2 Vocalizer that doesn't distort
3 Realtime Control surfaces for Style Part volume, Drawbars, etc.
4 MusicFinder that actually integrates with registrations, transpose, OPS, files on disk, etc.
5 XLR Microphone input
6 Live, aggressive Bass and Drum sounds
7 Separate Octave button for Left hand voices (for all you 61 key fans)
8 Less Schlager styles and more Contemporary Rock, Jazz, Dance, and Hip Hop Styles.
9 More than 4 bar Inro, break, fill, endings.
10 Style Make Up / Cover Function
11 Sleeker case design - ala Korg Pa2xpro.
12 Better Organ Sounds
13 More contemporary Guitar Sounds

I guess we could wish for it all , but in the real world , I think this is what we will get:

More polyphony , say 192 or >
More SA sounds.
More and updated Styles.
It will still have a HD , no SSD for the T-3.
Greater RAM capacity.
Sliders and Control Knobs + Assignable Buttons
USB 2.0 / USB Recording

What I would like to see.

Digital Audio Out
HDMI
2 Lower Voices
Better Drums
Guitar Mode

I really would like to get my hopes up , but I do believe that Yamaha will give the T-3 what it needs to stay current , I guess anything else will be just "icing on the cake" ... so to speak!

In any event we have all the next few months to think about it.

All we can really do is wait

Later,

Gary 

Better drums
Better basses
Better pianos
Better dance multipads (just take them from the PSR 8000)
Much more rock, dance, and disco styles

-A sequencer that doesn't have a 2 second load time for each song
-No wasted space (ie: five inches off each side, unless you put more keys there)

A Chord Sequencer....

76 notes
Ballsy Bass and Drums
Better piano (warmer, more Steinway-ish)
Better organs (more grind!)
MUCH faster sample loading and saving
AKAI multisample import
Better MIDI for external Parts, and better MIDI function control (for slaving two arrangers together)
Motorized faders (no up/down buttons. How can you hate Nord but like the Yamaha's?)
Virtual Analog Synth, with knobs!
Ability to play MotifXS patterns, but with Arranger control.

I guarantee that the T3 will have NONE of the above!

76 keys
Connectivity to a computer for loading and saving data
Style creation and a full sequencer that can be done from a computer (editor)
Assignable sliders and buttons.
A module T3

Judging from the little news about the T3, it does not seem that there will be much difference from the T2 they will just move around a few things

who am I kidding? this will never happen.....then try to sit down and try to re post some practical wishes that possibly can really be implemented in future models.....

Dunno, I think my list is extremely practical, and I'm actually allowing myself to dream that the T3 will have all these features ...

Chony....yes you have very practical wishes & needs for you.......I assume that Yamaha has to think of improvements as a WHOLE in General Terms as to benefit them as a company financially.......always leaving the consumer wanting for more achieves that in their eyes. So we continue the wishing game model after model....after the T3 release I am sure there will be an extended wish list for T4 and beyond. Its stinks but it is what it is.
