I have an urgent need to learn how to extract a single style from a set and save it so I can create a 2nd set from those I save for example to my FD. (PA1X Keyboard)
I know how to load just the single style but I want to create special sets from the individual styles I find.

I am willing to read and do the work but I can't find anything anywhere that teaches someone how to do this. I know it must be possible - maybe some PC software if not on the keyboard.

Hi Hammer,
hopefully someone with a PA1X may be able to give you clearer details, this is basically what I did with my PA800 & USB stick, in your case I gather you'd use the floppy drive with your PA1x ??
What I basically did was, I had various .sets of user styles & I wanted to group them into individual sets of , bigband, jazz, latin etc etc

I basically saved each of the user sets I'd downloaded from various sources onto my usb stick ( in your case floppy disks)
I then cleared my user memory in my keyboard of all user styles.
Next I used the load function & loaded "individual" styles into the various user slots. I just opened up each of the .sets till I got to the individual style

ie I may have had to go thru 10 user .sets till I located all of my bigband styles. Once I'd located them all and loaded them all in, (one at a time from the various sets, I saved as .bigband set.)

Provided there's no user sounds or samples involved the process you want to do should work similar.

Thank you Riki. This is exactly what I needed. I know how to load styles into my three user areas but I am not sure how to save the newly created sets of styles to either a Floppy disk or to my hard drive.

Hi Riki,

I just found the information in my manual page 233. It explains how to save just about anything to either a floppy disk or the hard drive.

Thanks Tons - I will work on it tomorrow. I really appreciate your input.

Hi Hammer,
happy I could help.
I actually downloaded a PA1X manual a while back to get the drum maps, your version & mine must be slightly different.

Depending on what version of the manual you have, it might be worth checking the korgpa site to see if the manuals have been upgraded along with the operating systems, just in case you've got new functions , that an older manual doesn't mention.
