What are you using for monitors, Neils?

On my Mackie HR824's, it comes over as a little hyped at the top and bottom, but I'm sure on computer speakers it ROCKS! What Mastering Tools settings are you using, these days?

That's a great song from the battling brothers, too. Thanks for posting it. I always thought of them as the modern day Kinks (who I adore)...

Don't mind pulling my hair out if it's for a good cause. When it all comes together with the great sounds and styles, it'll be worth the effort. I have past experience with Roland, including a short stint with the E-50, so hopefully I'll remember a few things. Besides, I'm in no hurry to launch live.

Zuki, Diki hit the nail on the head, I've been there and done that. He's so right in his statement. The G70 changed the way I viewed Yamaha for a long time to come. Once you tame that beast you'll be on your way. Good luck!

Neilshs you can make pretty much any instrument sound great, i have learned this from pretty much every demo you have done even with the first versions of the G70 when it was generally regarded as sounding poor.

What might be useful is posting the same demo using the best sounds from the previuos G70 OS. If improvements have been made sonically then that would be something we could assess. If the OS update was simply to make using the instrument easeier, then we cant assess that from a demo. what would be useful is if you can tell us what the new OS version has enabled you to do that the previous one could not ?

Thanks Niels for explaining - i have only just started exploring the style makeup , and am impressed by its simplicity in being able to quite radically alter a style yet still sound fab

(PS: I have just tried a couple of pretty bland sounding converted tyros styles and the makeup tools quickly brought them to life)
