After 6 to 7 hours work I managed to rewrite 220 songs into text for my S900. You have to make sure that that your word layout fits the screen and the page break is right for the lyric. (With or without chords)

I was looking forward to my first job – no books or laptop, sounds like a dream. One keyboard, one microphone with stand my seat and an amp. Great.

How did it turn out –NIGHTMARE!! I had the keyboard tilted so that I could see the screen – move a fraction and I found myself leaning over the top of the keyboard struggling to read the lyric. Something was different on the PSR3000, I am not sure what. I’m back to books and laptop –not happy!!

Sorry to hear about your hard effort with little return.

I use some words in my 900 (until I memorize them) and it works out great. However, I do stand and play for an hour.

You do know you have different keyboard fonts to choose from (?), so that helps making the words fit.

Sorry to read about your problem. I'll stick with the laptop, but something you may want to consider is a small, flatscreen monitor. I know a couple guys using a 15-inch flatscreen, but a smaller unit would likely do what you want, plus allow you to use the keyboard's LCD display as well.

I've used the lyrics function in the S900 extensively and really haven't had any problems.
It eliminates carrying the laptop.
You have to set the type size, but I'm sure you know that.

It is a small 7" TFT LCD TV made by SuperSonic that works quite well. It fits nicely on a music stand. I purchased mine on Ebay for about $70. In fact there is one For Sale right now

As of now, one day of bidding left, but this item, and others like it, are often featured on Ebay.

I hope you figure something out for all the work you did.

Suki, memorizing is the best way to go, lately more is going out then what’s coming in -- thanks.

Gary, I have tried a flat 15” TV screen but I find a lot of movement (Shaking) when going from one part of the keyboard to another. Normally the main screen is split. (Controls at the top) At my age I have enough things that are shaking. It seems very unstable. Maybe I’ll change the connecting wires. Would Yamaha have some thoughts on this subject?
